Community Commitment & Corporate Philanthropy
The word "community" is at the heart of a cooperative. We live, work and raise our families in the same communities we proudly serve.
Our Team Members volunteer thousands of hours each year. We’ve established a VTO (Volunteer Time Off) program so they may use their traditional work hours toward community endeavors – because the needs of people aren’t always met between the hours of eight and five.
Each year, Greater Iowa is able to fund thousands of dollars to the community through our role as a United Way Pacesetter. We also help fill budgetary education gaps through Project Classroom, Banzai! Financial Literacy Programs, Land-A-Grand Scholarships and our Donation/Sponsorship Request program. In addition, our Team Member Donation Program devotes thousands in funds toward community enrichment and development programs they volunteer for and are passionate about. Our GiveIowa Crowdfunding program is the first of its kind for financial institutions – helping pool our financial resources with those who are equally passionate about our communities.
We are a cooperative that stands for something Greater than day-to-day business. We are part of our communities. We are people helping people because that is what makes Iowa Greater.
